Doug McCormick shares why you should view your family like a business
Doug has a lifetime of experiences that provide the foundation for the framework, principles and tools in Family Inc. During his professional career, he has served as an active duty Army officer, attended Harvard Business School, worked as an investment banker and a private equity investor and finally became an entrepreneur as co-founder of HCI Equity Partners where he serves as Managing Partner overseeing all aspects of the firm’s strategy, investments and operations.
Before joining HCI Equity, Doug worked as a Managing Director at Thayer Capital and in the Investment Banking Division of Morgan Stanley & Co. Doug also previously served as a Captain in the U.S. Army’s 25th Infantry Division where he earned the Airborne, Air Assault, Expert Infantryman, and Ranger qualifications.
Doug holds a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point.
Doug wrote the book and created the Family Inc. website to help high performing adults manage their finances to bring their family financial peace, stability and abundance. Doug also works with veterans to navigate the civilian financial world so their service and sacrifice can be rewarded with a secure financial future.
