Empowerment Through Change

What does fear stop you from doing

Thursday, May 19th, 2011

I have had the pleasure of working with many people all over the world, and one of the things they have in common that holds them back from achieving their business or individual goals is FEAR.

Fear is an amazingly powerful emotion that can literally stop us in our tracks from taking the action we need or want to take to achieve our goals.

Have you ever experienced this in your life?

It might have been in your business, maybe it was a project or an idea that you had for a new product or service but you might of not of acted on it because you were worried what people might say or your internal self talk tells you, you are crazy if you think this will work.

What about in your personal life, for some people who want to lose weight, get fit or look at changing their career, they hear the same negative self talk saying you will never achieve what you want to or you worry what other people say and because of this you may never even start.

Firstly it’s normal to have some of these feelings, but the difference between successful people to people who don’t live there life the way they truly want to, is that successful people feel the fear and do it anyway, the discomfort does not stop them, they train themselves and create a success habit.  When you create a positive and powerful inner self talk (inner coach) you become an unstoppable force.

I have been specializing in stress and self-empowerment for over 4 years and it still amazes me what can happen when someone starts believing in themselves and is willing to challenge that feeling of fear.  The great thing is it’s a skill that anyone can learn if they are willing to take the time.

One of the things I get all my clients to do, is to write down there fears and then write how they would like to feel instead, and how would those new positive feelings help them to achieve their goal.  This creates a great starting block allowing them to see what they need to start working on

So I hope this tip has helped you to start challenging those fears you might have.
